All right, so for fathers day, I thought I could be a better daughter and post some more recent photos of Bennett than 9 months (or whenever it was when I last posted pictures). Here are some photos documenting some questionable parenting choices. For an afternoon snack, Bennett and I recently enjoyed chocolate dipped strawberries and cherries. In my defense: 1) milk was the accompanying beverage; and 2) what else should one do with a bowl of leftover melted Bernard
Callebaut chocolate? Bennett was very happy to wake up from his nap to this very messy snack. After cleaning him up, I asked if he thought that was a tasty snack. His reply? "Try again."
The last photo was taken this morning (a.k.a. Fathers' Day). Bennett was very anxious to wake Morgan up so he could open the present waiting for him on the kitchen table. He also keeps talking about cake and candles, so I think he will be disappointed in the day's conclusion. Before Sunday morning bath (our church starts at 2:30), Bennett insisted that both he and Morgan sit on the teeny-tiny
Lil'tykes chair in our
kitchen (a.k.a. the time-out chair). This was the result.
Happy Fathers' Day to all the exemplary men I have been blessed to have in my life.
