Our little peanut

Clarke and I had our first sonogram today - we saw the heartbeating and the little peanut moving all around. My little sister asked if it looked like a girl or boy and when I explained it is only the size of a thumbnail, she asked if it looked like a girl or boy thumbnail - I'm saying girl, but that's just a wish. You can see the start of a little hand sticking up on the first picture. Seeing the little thing definitely made all this nausea more worth it. The due date has been set back to September 20.

Go see Neil Young Heart of Gold. Clarke and I just saw it with some friends and we would both highly recommend it to anyone. It's pretty simple, so don't expect any big hollywood movie. But it is understated, the lyrics of his songs are very thought provoking and he is just so entertaining to watch. We both left the theater singing Neil Young classics and wanting to see it again.

Procrastination

Clarke and I have spent our holiday like any good students: procrastinating our massive amounts of homework. We always lament that neither of us has better study skills than the other - hopefully, our kid inherits some recessive non-procrastinating genes. I keep praying that a book report will fall out of one of my books (just like Morgan's story about using his grandma's book report he found in an old book.) But unfortunately, nothing has fallen out of "The Making of the English Working Class" so far, except a ticket to Plaza de Toros, Monumental de Barcelona - which is cool, but not helpful.

PS. Thank you to Beth and Morgan for Buzz Word - we introduced it to a group of friends last night and it was a big hit. Heather, how was your Joel-less weekend?

Happy Valentine's Day, Bennett!

Clarke and I were discussing that everyone in the family (amazingly) has a Valentine except Bennett. So I found him one. I wish I had obtained a picture, but I will just give you a description. Her name is Elle and she's adorable. She's 8 months, not quite crawling yet - so the two of them can lift up on their arms and wiggle around together. Elle is a little on the rolly/chunky side, but the extra baby fat really works for her. I saw her last week in some pink polka-dot leggings which really accentuated the rolls in her legs and thought she was a perfect match for Bennett. She has brown hair which is heavier on top, so is always in a straight up pony-tail. She loves Baby Einstein and the Price is Right. So, happy Valentine's Day from Elle (and me) to Bennett.

Here is an inside shot of the main floor of the house (living room, kitchen, and eating area in back). It's nice, but we're looking forward to moving back home-- angel room and all. 

Here is an outside shot of the house we built. Don't tell me if you don't like the colour green as an exterior house colour. I've already lost enough sleep over that one.

Here is Bennett learning how to crawl. He's still not there yet, although he does hoist himself of his belly and rock on his knees occasionally.

Waltzin' and Shmaltzin'

First off, my apologies for not having any pictures of Jared, yet. They are coming. If I ever find the time, I will get them off of Mom's computer and onto the blog. (Or Mom, here's a challenge, you could try and do it). Until that time, this is all I have. This is a picture of the Wellesley girls at the Waltz n Shmaltz that was this past Saturday. It was an insanely successful event after a day of craziness. Krystal and I are the two babes in the middle. I think that we look pretty good - especially after a day of running around to buy food and almost breaking down into tears (which I can be pretty good at - as you all know).

i miss my family

Hey fam. Just wanted to drop saying a note that I love you guys and am missing you A TON out here. I can hardly wait until mom comes out to visit in March. I hope your all well. I know there's been a huge influx in the business of peoples lives, becuase there are no blogs. New boyfriends, new babies, new houses. It's totally cool - I get it. Just really missin' you all.
